who were the only participants to obtain 100% for the ten questionnaires of Option C (2009).

All health care practitioners are required to obtain
30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per annum, with a total of
at least 60 for every two-year period. (The document "Continuing
Professional Development Guidelines for the Health Professions" can
be accessed on the HPCSA website www.hpcsa.co.za.)
The Professional Board for Psychology amended the Guidelines
in September 2006, where they, amongst others, specified that 6
ethical units should form part of the required 30 CEUs per annum.
(The document can be accessed on the
HPCSA website under the
CPD menu for psychologists.) This is incorporated in our programme
for 2010.
Each practitioner is responsible for maintaining his/her own portfolio until such time as
his/her name is drawn for a compliance audit (Click here to download the portfolio form).
Psychology CPD Well will issue a Stellenbosch
University certificate of competence to participants who successfully complete the programme,
and will keep record of each participant’s units earned for a period of three years after the
date that the certificate was issued.
We now have 958
registered
users for 2010 on the Psychology CPD-Well system. Not only are they earning
their CPD points locally, they are also doing it from across the world!
Some documents (extension .pdf) on the CPD-Well platform require the use of
Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have it installed, you will need to
download and install
their free PDF viewer. Note that the reason for using the PDF format is that it results in
smaller files and therefore faster downloads.
Please remember to write down the confirmation code after submitting a
questionnaire to serve as proof that you have successfully completed it. This way it will be
possible for us to determine whether you managed to complete the questionnaire if problems arose
with uploading your CPD points to our database.
